Greg Cook, on the comeback trail from injury, grafted a well-earned second place 
in the Masters Men's 800m with a time of 2 minutes 18.43 seconds.


David Rush won the 3000m race in a time of 9 minutes 30.65 seconds pulling away 
from Greg Brockbank (Ariki) in the last lap. Rush was also the winner of the Master
Men's grade. Mark O'Donnell made a good start to the second half of the season by 
finishing third overall in 9 minutes 58.76 seconds. John Bayne made a welcome return
to the track finishing second in the Master Men's grade.


Kirsty Morris had a great race winning the Senior Women's 3000m with a PB of
10 minutes 5.59 seconds without the moderate to strong headwind, may well have broken
the 10 minute barrier.

  
Winifred Harding won the Master Women's shot put and javelin throw.


Thanks go to Winifred Harding and Marc Boulle for helping out at the javelin throw,
officiating and doing other duties.

Note: There were no Leith entrants in any of the Otago Steeplechase Championship grades.
