The opening Track and Field
Meeting took place this Saturday 11 October at the Caledonian
starting at 1pm. Beijing Olympics 1500m Bronze medalist,
Nick Willis, was in attendence.
There was a magnificent turnout of athletes and spectators
for this the opening track and field meeting of the 2008/9
season. Nick Willis signed personalised autographs on
posters for each person. He also gave the opportunity
for the kids (and even some parents) to jog a lap of the
Caledonian track.
There was some keen competition amongst the athletes
with some good times, despite the strong south westerly
wind for the first meet of the season.
The results of the final Track
and Field Meeting (Modified Twilight Meeting) which took
place on Wednesday 19 March 2008 at the Caledonian are
now available
