Only three athletes from Leith competed at these Championships which were held in glorious weather at Christchurch's QE2 stadium over four days beginning on the Friday 2 March 2007.
Winifred Harding once again scooped a plethora of medals in the field throwing events. She won golds in the Women's 50-54 age grade in the Hammer, Shot Put, Discus, Heavy Weight and the Weight Pentathlon (Total of five Golds), and Silver in the Javelin. A truly outstanding performance. She stated that she was most happy with her hammer throw of 34 metres.
Bill Kenny also had a great time out in the hot sun. He was most satisfied with his 800m gold in the Men's 70-74 age grade. He also claimed silver in the 1500m race.
Marc Boulle only ran one race, the Men's 50-54 age grade 800m. He managed to win a bronze medal, finishing a narrow third.
