The Lovelock Relays is an annual event organised by the Otago
University Harrier and Multisport Club in honour of the
late great Jack Lovelock. New Zealand's Olympic Gold Medal
winner in the 1500m at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
It is normally run on the first Saturday of the month of
May on the University Oval Cricket Ground. Logan Park, Dunedin,
on a 375m circuit on grass. The Senior Men and Master Men
Grade teams run 6 x 1500m, while the Women's and High School
athletes run 4 x 1500. There is also a kids U12 section with
the teams running 4 x 375m.
