Brief Preliminary Report as sent to Star Newspaper (which is limited to 150 words). More detailed report to follow once we are sure of the results.
In great sunny weather the Leith Masters Men and Men's B grade teams were the
first to compete. The Leith Masters Men No. 1 team (28:11) anchored by Conor
Delahunty (actual 4:26 to be confirmed) won comfortably in 28min 05sec with
the Leith Masters Men No 2 team (29:39) finishing in third place.
Jan Craig (2nd Fastest 5:27) led the Masters Women's team (23:27) to second
place. The High School Girls did well to finish 5th in their grade.
Neil McLanachan pulled out all the stops in the Men's A grade race to post an
excellent 4:15 on the first lap for the Men's No. 1 team. New members Steve
Munro (4.55) and the junior runners ran courageously in a quality field.
The Women's No. 1 team led by Kirsty Morris (5.02) finished in 7th position
out of 13 teams. Our social mixed team finished 3rd out of 7 teams. Congrats
to all those who helped or competed.
