Kirsty Morris, putting in one of her best performances on the road, outlasted Ian Muir to win the Joe Cowie Memorial 3 Mile Handicap Race in 25 mins 56 secs (actual 17:56 fastest time Senior Women) also winning the Senior Women's title. Ian finished second overall 13 seconds adrift in 26 mins and 9 secs (actual time 18:09) to be second overall and first in the Masters Men 35+ grade. A fast finishing Neale McLanachan finished in third position overall and first Senior Man in 26 mins 25 secs (actual time 15:25 fastest time Senior Men).
Jon Henning finished in fourth place to be first in the Masters Men 50+ grade in 26 mins 38 secs (actual 18:38). Adele Poulter finished 6th overall and was the first to finish in the Masters Women 45+ grade in 26 mins 46 secs (actual time 26:01). Jan Coffey was the first Masters Women 35+ in 27 mins 13 secs (actual 21:38).
There was some keen fun competition amongst the kids in the associated 500m race with Erin Knox and Liam McCall winning the Girls and Boys sections respectively.
