Boys and Girls 12 and Under: 500m

This race was keenly contested with Reuben Knox holding off a fast finishing Liam McCall.

Boys and Girls 16 and Under: 2000m

Talia Alison had to go it alone in finishing in a good time of 8 mins 58 secs

Senior Women, Masters Women and Women 19 and Under: 3000m

Kirsty Morris won this race in an excellent 10 minutes 22 seconds despite the wind in the home straight.

Open: 10 000m

Once again this race was run out to the Vauxhall Yacht Club and back and the runners were again at the mercy of a fairly strong and cold South Westerly wind.

Adele Poulter started off first and held the lead until about half way along Portsmouth drive on the return leg. Christine Leith and Clare Pascoe were still maintaining their position.

Luke Kendrick and Alan Funnell signalled their intention to win this race by setting a fast pace from the outset.. Luke and Alan ran together in tandem for most of the race. Luke outpaced Alan at the finish to win by six seconds in 55 mins (actual 35:15) with second in 55:06 (actual 35:51). Ian Thomas was third in 56:40 (actual time 35:25). Fastest time went to Neale McLanachan who finished in 8th Position.

The field was well handicapped by Jim Flynn and most were happy with their performances considering the bitterly cold conditions. Thanks must go to the timekeepers and the marshalls who had to stand in the cold whilst performing their duties.
