LEITHIANS IN CANADA

Emily Solzberg sighted wearing the Leith singlet having just finished the Edge to Edge Marathon. This was held on Sunday June 11th 2006 where Emily won the senior womens race in a time of 3.34.43. The course is 42.2km and follows an undulating course from the town of Tofino to the village of Ucluelet.

Great stuff Emily!

Emily Solzberg running in the GutBuster Trail Running Series. As the name
suggests, the series is made up of four extremely challenging courses, with
the first race in April and the last in July. We don't know know how Emily did in these races, but the slogan for the race is 'Go bust a gut' so you can imagine that Emily would be in her element! The courses are run through rivers, around lakes, up mountains, through mud bogs (not puddles, bogs at least knee deep) so proper trail running.

Sounds a lot like the chute in the Three Peaks Mountain Race in Dunedin. We trained you well, Emily!
